In the old days of the Department of Transport, the Department of Communications and the Department of Industry, there were over 20 radio monitoring stations across Canada, including 3 in Quebec. Their main purpose was to provide monitoring services and to assist in radio regulations enforcement and spectrum management.

Dans le bon vieux temps du Ministère des Transports, du Ministère des Communications et du Ministère de l'Industrie, il y avait plus d'une vingtaine de centres de contrôle à travers le Canada, dont 3 au Québec. Leur but principal était de fournir des services de surveillance et une assistance dans l'application de la loi et des règlements sur la radio ainsi que dans la gestion du spectre.
