Meet Barry Shabatoski, Director, SITT Programs for Saskatchewan

Barry Shabatoski has made his home in 2 of the 3 provinces in our region in his career with the Federal Government that began in 1975. Barry has worked as a Radio Inspector in Regina, as well as Manager, Authorizations, in Calgary. In 1998, he returned to Regina when he assumed his current role.

Currently, one of Barry’s roles is as co-chair of the Citizens Service Committee with the Saskatchewan Federal Council. The committee is looking at developing a unique way to provide front end service when the new Government of Canada building opens in Regina in 2006.

Barry loves “the diversity that comes with my position; diversity of issues and people....I’m exposed to issues outside the SITT lines of business and it affords me a different perspective on how the Federal Service works in Saskatchewan.”

The most rewarding aspect of Barry’s position is working with his “excellent team in Saskatchewan and in our region.” He enjoys being “part of an organization that is so client focussed, dynamic and forward thinking.”

When he’s not enjoying himself at the office, Barry likes to spend his time gardening, doing yard work, golfing and camping with his wife, Terri, and son, Darren.
