Neave
Tornabuono

February
15, 2013
It is with
mixed emotions that I announce the departure of Neave Tornabuono. Neave is
leaving the Central and Western Ontario District Office, as she has accepted a
position with Citizenship and Immigration Canada as a Case Processing Agent.
Her last day of work at Industry Canada will be Thursday, February 28, 2013.
Neave began
her career with the Federal Government in 1990 when she joined the Department of
National Defence. She then joined the Department of Communications as a
Technical Assistant in early 1992.
Over the
span of the last 21 years, she undertook a number of roles within Industry
Canada, including conducting site audits for the Community Access Program and
joining the Connecting Canadians Sales Force team. She also chaired the Ontario
Regional Technical Administrative Services Committee for two years, and worked
with the former Technology Partnerships Canada program at IC as a Project
Development Officer in a short-term secondment.
She was an
active participant on numerous committees and working groups over the years.
Most recently, she received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal award.
Her
contributions to our Office, and to AOR, will be sadly missed.
Please join
me in wishing Neave much success in her future endeavours.
Regards,
Lou Battiston
