Electromagnetic woman

Another Department of Communications employee has successfully completed an equal opportunities for women (EOW) developmental program. Dorothy J. Elliott, formerly a CR 4 with the Pacific regional office's engineering section, was granted a two-year educational leave to attend the British Columbia Institute of Technology, where she obtained a certificate in electronics technology.

After completing her academic training Mrs. Elliott won a competition at the EL 1 level and has been working at the Langley district office since June.

La voie de l’électronique

Une autre employée du ministère des Communications termine le programme de perfectionnement offert dans le cadre du Programme de promotion de la femme. Il s'agit de Dorothy J. Elliott, qui occupait auparavant un poste de CR-4 aux Services techniques du bureau régional du Pacifique. On lui a accordé un congé d'études de deux ans pour suivre des cours au British Columbia Institute of Technology où elle a obtenu un certificat en technologie de l'électronique.

Une fois ses cours terminés, Mme Elliott s'est portée candidate à un poste de EL-1, poste qu'elle occupe depuis le mois de juin au bureau de district de Langley.
